Granville Village Council on Monday approved a package of routine resolutions covering municipal court services, indigent defense, board appointments and a one‑time employee leave donation program.
Resolution 2025‑53 authorizes the village manager to contract with Tricia M. Moore and the New York City Law Director’s Office for municipal court prosecuting attorney services for 2026. Council described the item as annual housekeeping, received no substantive questions and passed the resolution by voice vote.
Resolution 2025‑54 authorizes an agreement for indigent defense services with the Licking County Commissioners for the Village of Granville. Council identified the contract as the same annual arrangement in place previously and approved it as presented.
Resolution 2025‑55 appoints members to the Volunteer Peace Officers Dependent Fund Board in accordance with Ohio Revised Code §143.02; council members handled the item as a routine appointment and approved it on a voice vote.
Separately, Resolution 2025‑57 was adopted as a one‑time measure allowing full‑time employees to voluntarily donate vacation, sick or comp time to a full‑time colleague who fell ill in September. Staff said the policy is capped to collect up to 168 hours to keep the employee on payroll through January and maintain insurance coverage into February; council approved the measure by voice vote.
