The Huber Heights Planning Commission on a unanimous vote approved a minor‑change application to allow two wall signs and three wall graphics for a Rollhouse entertainment venue at 6170 Brandt Pike.
Aaron Sorrell of city planning told commissioners the site is about 4.7 acres in a commercial zone and the proposed signs total about 832 square feet, sizes staff said are proportional to the building faces. Staff recommended approval of the minor change as submitted.
A sign installer and supporter told the commission the signs are non‑internally lit, gooseneck‑lighted dimensional letters intended to be mounted on the wall. The commenter said the Rollhouse brand operates as a remodel/refresh program for older bowling alleys and that similar locations use city identifiers (for example, “Rollhouse Wycliffe”) in other markets.
Commissioner Thomas moved to approve the request in accordance with the staff memorandum dated 12/02/2025; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Fargo. The roll call was recorded as: Mister Schomper (yes), Miss Vargo (yes), Miss Thomas (yes), and Mr Walton (yes). The motion passed 4–0.
Following approval, staff told the applicant to submit a sign permit application; the planning office will review the permit application before any signage work proceeds.
The planning commission did not reference any local code section by citation during discussion; the staff recommendation focused on proportionality to building frontage and consistency with prior approvals for similar developments.
