The Huber Heights Arts & Beautification Commission voted Jan. 20 to retain its current officers after no members volunteered to run for the posts.
Chair Sarah Chapman opened nominations and, when no one else stepped forward, moved to continue the current chair and vice chair in their positions. A motion to that effect was made, seconded and passed by voice vote.
The vote was procedural and took place at the start of the meeting; Chapman offered no additional opening remarks beyond thanking the commission’s liaison. The commission then moved on to other agenda items, including ongoing work on a community mural and planning for a May art show.
The action was procedural only; no terms, formal appointment language, or statutory citations were discussed during the recorded proceedings. The commission’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 18, when additional agenda items — including a policy discussion and updates on the mural project — are expected to return to the table.
