Huber Heights staff presented a donation agreement for just over half an acre along Charles Gate Road and a related plan to extend water and sanitary service to an existing single‑family home. Planning staff said the donation will allow the city to design a road extension and coordinate future connections of Deer Knoll Drive to the north.
Under the agreement, staff would begin design work within 90 days of execution and seek to close on the property by the end of the year. Staff noted the donor owns local restaurant property and expects to subdivide in future; the agreement includes cooperation language for future extensions and requires removal and proper sealing of on‑site septic systems to the satisfaction of the public health department.
Council supported moving the agreement forward for readings on Monday and thanked staff for negotiating a cooperative approach with the landowner.
