County approves small amendment to halfway housing contract, citing minor facility-payment change

Boulder County commissioners approved Oct. 28 a contract amendment for community corrections halfway-housing services that staff described as a minor change limited to facility-payment timing and transition paperwork.
Monica Veil, finance and administration manager with Community Justice Services, told the board the amendment primarily clarifies transition details for transferring services from private vendors to the county and adjusts facility payments for a small number of days. "The amount that changes is only about $8,000," Veil said, explaining the difference arose because two providers have slightly different contract end dates.
A commissioner moved and the board approved item 6B (the contract amendment) on the consent/discussion calendar; the transcript records an affirmative vote without a roll-call breakdown.
Staff said the scope of work is largely unchanged and the amendment adds more detailed transition timelines and paperwork requirements, including client transport procedures and vendor paperwork that must be submitted to county staff.
The amendment was recorded as approved on Oct. 28; staff will implement the clarified transition processes and facility-payment adjustments through the contract management team.
