GHS Tech Ed room cleared after roof-debris incident; consultant reported only minor surface repairs

Mister Lord summarized findings from the roofing consultant concerning debris that fell into the Tech Ed area at Germantown High School during a roof replacement project. He said corrective repairs to the underside of the roof deck were completed the week of Aug. 25 by Facilitec and that all corrections were surface-level: "All corrections were minor surface falling, no larger than 2 inches in-depth."
Mister Lord said Kelman Restoration performed a thorough cleaning of surfaces and lab equipment and used compressed forced air to evacuate debris. He reported that the Tech Ed department had identified no continuing equipment problems and that there was no structural damage.
Committee members confirmed there were no injuries reported and no equipment damage known. Mister Lord added that Performance Roofing had been "very understanding" and asked the district to keep in touch if anything fails; he said the roofer would "surely cover whatever is needed as long as it's related."
Members requested before-and-after photos of the cleaned areas and asked staff to forward any additional technical questions to Mister Lord for follow-up with the consultant or vendors. No formal action was taken.
