Council reappointed Joseph Milroy to the zoning hearing board and reaffirmed the appointments of John Gundrum and Jason Saxeira under Resolution 20-26-15, and it approved Resolution 20-26-16 to appoint Nikisha Johnson to fill a vacancy on the borough Civil Service Commission.
Council authorized a $13,200 purchase of a new server for Burrow Hall after staff presented three competitive quotes and recommended a Lenovo system as the lowest responsible quote. Members voted by voice to carry the motion.
For community events, council passed Resolution 20-26-17 to contract with Tons of Fun to operate the borough’s 2026 carnival after staff explained the prior vendor, Swicus Amusements, is retiring and Tons of Fun helped preserve the borough’s preferred dates. Council also approved Resolution 20-26-18, authorizing an agreement with Robert Half for temporary staffing services.
Other routine business carried by voice vote included acceptance of a retirement (Steven Wanzik, effective 12/31/2025), acceptance of a resignation (Angela Long, effective 01/02/2026), and recognition presentations for outgoing officials and an employee‑of‑the‑month award.
