Board records Studebaker price correction, OKs Frosty 5K event permit
Summary
The board recorded a correction to Studebaker field rental pricing (documented as $50 per field, not $35) and approved a larger-tent permit and warming-station plan for the 17th annual Frosty 5K at Studebaker River Greenway and the Oak Harbor Environmental Center.

The parks board clarified and recorded a correction to the Studebaker field rental rate and approved the permit for the 17th annual Frosty 5K and related event uses.
Brianna Pigeon, office manager of Parks and Recreation, told the board that "in the actual documentation, the Studebaker was listed at 50, which is correct, but we verbally stated 35 per field rental," and asked that the record reflect the correct $50 rate; the board approved the Studebaker amendment.
Event coordinator Liz Stoutner described the Frosty 5K permit request: organizers asked for a larger tent (a 30-by-50 rather than the prior 20-by-40) and the use of warming stations and fire pits similar to Winterfest. Stoutner said the Frosty event had more than 350 sign-ups last year and that organizers expect increased demand; the board voted to approve the event permit for Studebaker River Greenway and the Oak Harbor Environmental Center.
The approvals allow the event team to finalize logistics and tenting plans for the winter race; staff will continue coordinating with public safety and volunteers as needed.
