Curriculum staff told the board they piloted two math curricula and recommended staying with McGraw Hill for one more year while Del Rio will adopt the I-Ready MyPath intervention for one year. The district received complimentary access to MyPath for the rest of the current year from I-Ready, the presenter said.
The presenter (Speaker 5) described MyPath as an intervention supplement that is most useful when classrooms can be 1:1 with devices; Del Rio’s classrooms are better positioned to use the computer-based intervention and staff recommended a one-year adoption for Del Rio specifically. For K–8 math, staff recommended staying with McGraw Hill for a year to review McGraw Hill’s new Arizona‑aligned edition (Arizona Reveal Math) and reassess by December 2027.
Board members moved and approved both recommendations in separate motions recorded in the meeting. The board will revisit the vendor decisions after the year-long trial and reviews.
