Morton Grove authorizes purchase of 12 TASER 10 devices from Axon

The department combined a six-package award from an ILEAS grant with the purchase of an additional six TASER 10 packages to modernize its inventory at a total 2026 cost of $58,835.90. Trustee Travis said the funding sources are an ILEAS grant of $21,600 and asset forfeiture funds of $37,235.90, and noted a $9,522.42 saving tied to bundling and returning 16 TASER X2 devices. The trustees recommended continuing with Axon to maintain system integration because Axon is the department’s current provider for body cameras, in-car video and digital evidence storage.
Trustee Travis moved adoption of Resolution 26-01; Trustee White seconded. The board voted 5-0 to approve the resolution.
