The staff memo cited Virginia Code §27‑36 (authority for appointment of fire marshals) and an administrative code reference for confirmation of fire officials.
Jennings was introduced as joining Dinwiddie from Colonial Heights with prior fire‑marshal and law‑enforcement experience. The board moved, seconded and confirmed both appointments by roll call with all supervisors voting aye.
Chief Ray Blake and Chief Lisonbee were present for the recognition and the board noted the appointments finalize the county’s fire‑code leadership assignments.
