Commissioner (Speaker 2) moved the appointments; votes were taken by roll call and carried.
Staff told the commission that Resolution 2026-01 (Open Meetings Act housekeeping) had been revised by the county attorney to change notice language from “mailed” to “emailed” for individuals requesting written notice of regular meetings. The commission adopted the resolution by roll call vote.
The board discussed two holiday-schedule options for Juneteenth and Independence Day: observing substitute weekdays per personnel policy or splitting staff so some employees work the Thursday before and others the Monday after. Clerical and assessor staff reported that the county’s small offices could not reliably sustain split staffing; the assessor and clerk told the commission splitting coverage would pose operational and safety risks if employees took vacation or became ill. The commission voted to adopt a single observed day (no split staffing).
The county also adopted an updated fee schedule that separates event-center rental fees into individually rentable components and explicitly lists wireless telecommunication fees. Commissioners noted printing fees remain constrained by state statute at $1 for certain document charges.
Commissioners closed the business portion of the meeting and moved on to budget and personnel items. The meeting adjourned following routine roll-call votes.
