During the Jan. 15 meeting a speaker requested that an attachment be added to the planning commission minutes to correct how the Glenbrook 10 annexation and rezoning timeline had been recorded. The speaker said Blake Rice of BSI petitioned the city in March 2025 for annexation and zoning, and that internal city maps and earlier resolutions had incorrectly shown portions of Glenbrook 10 as already inside the city limits.
The speaker said the planning department’s earlier resolution stated the parcel was inside the city limits and that the discrepancy should be clarified. The speaker referenced an opinion from City Attorney Andrew Odom and asked the commission to forward a request to the city council to set a public hearing to pre‑zone and annex Glenbrook 10 to R‑3 and R‑2.
The commission did not provide a formal vote on the correction or on forwarding the pre‑zoning request at that meeting; the speaker asked that the explanatory attachment be included in the minutes for future record and indicated staff would take the requested next steps to bring the matter to the city council.
