Trustees thanked staff and suggested programmatic extensions: Trustee Smith asked whether Breakfast Brothers might mentor culinary students; district staff said the vendor has participated with the culinary program in prior years and further talks were planned.
Coach Brown said donated funds will be used to offset athletic budget needs including team travel, meals and other event support. Several trustees applauded the efforts and asked staff to explore mentoring and career connections tied to sponsors.
Next steps: staff will continue discussions with sponsors about potential mentorships and program partnerships and will present any formal agreements for board approval as required.
