Batavia Chamber reports $36,980 local impact from Chamber Bucks; spotlights local business Aquatic Utopia

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce told the council Monday that it sold $31,980 in Chamber Bucks during the holiday season and supplemented that with a $5,000 chamber donation, producing a $36,980 local economic impact.

The chamber’s executive director (name not given in the transcript) said the revenue stays in the local economy and urged continued support of Batavia businesses through purchases and social‑media promotion. The director also reported that the chamber added 67 new members in 2025, hosted more than 160 meetings and programs and runs seven active referral groups and committees.

The chamber said it will publish its annual "Chamber at a Glance" community guide and is launching a three‑part "Strong Foundations" seminar series for business owners (the first session was listed as Jan. 22).
