Steadfast requested the council’s help to pursue available opioid recovery funding; in their presentation they cited roughly $946,000 available for the year and asked for guidance on next steps to submit an application before the Jan. 31 deadline. They also described meeting earlier with county staff to share the vision and said they plan to use any town partnership to expand services and preserve family restoration in their model.
Council members thanked the presenters and accepted the informational submittal; no formal funding commitment or vote on a town partnership was recorded at the meeting. The council’s next steps would be procedural: staff or the council would need to provide direction on whether the town will be an applicant or fiscal agent and whether any formal MOU or financial support is required for an application.
