Director Laura Thielen of the Department of Parks and Recreation described the donation and thanked the donor, saying, "we are very grateful for Bradley Nakamura and, accept this lovely gift." The chair noted there were no registered or unregistered testifiers on the item.
The resolution describes the donation as covering traditional bench preparations of the grounds, building of forms, pouring of cement and a bronze plaque inscribed "donated by the family of BJ and Brady Nakamura" to be placed at Puʻuloa Beach Park. The chair recommended the measure be reported out for adoption; there were no objections recorded in the meeting transcript and the chair ordered it reported out.
