Connor Bell appointed to Lancaster Recreation Commission

Lancaster City Council on Jan. 13 appointed Connor Bell to the Lancaster Recreation Commission for a term through Dec. 31, 2028.
Bell introduced himself at the council microphone and gave his block-level address in the 600 block of Park Avenue. "My name is Connor Bell. I am a resident at 648 Park Avenue," he said, describing a background as a CPA and work as a relationship manager at Link Bank. Bell said he is motivated by "a passion for recreation" and by the need for after-school and childcare programming that the recreation board supports.
Councilor Hirsch moved the nomination and Councilor Ahmed voiced support at the meeting. Bell told councilors he hoped to apply his accounting background on the Rec Board's finance committee and to help build partnerships through his bank connections.
The council voted to confirm Bell's appointment on a recorded roll-call vote. The City Clerk will record the appointment and notify the Lancaster Recreation Commission.
