Jefferson County commissioners appoint Cindy Arcuri to RTD board seat

The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners voted Dec. 9 to appoint Cindy Arcuri to a vacant RTD board seat (regular agenda item 7.9).
Arcuri introduced herself to the board, gave her address and described long experience riding RTD since 1983 and prior work in state government budget offices. “I have taken RTD now since 1983 here and there all over the metro area,” Arcuri said, adding she hopes to emphasize service improvements in Jefferson County if appointed.
Commissioner Andy Kurt noted the board received many qualified applicants and asked for a motion; a commissioner moved to approve item 7.9, Kurt seconded and Miss Murad called the roll. Commissioners Kerr and Zenzinger recorded aye votes and the appointment passed.
Arcuri said she would stay until the end of the meeting to meet commissioners and thanked the board for its consideration. The resolution read into the record identified the matter as Resolution CC25-31 (various boards and commissions; RTD district appointment). The board did not discuss any conditions or terms in public during the vote.
The appointment is effective per the board’s action on Dec. 9; the RTD district seat number was read during the clerk’s recitation of the resolution. No appeals or requests to remove this item from the agenda were made before the vote.
