Hilton Head Island administrative offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, the county bulletin said. The town said emergency services will remain available during the closure.
Officials also encouraged residents to take part in events organized by the Hilton Head MLK Committee for Justice and directed listeners to hiltonheadmlk.com for a full schedule. The bulletin additionally noted that the Beaufort County Convenience Center at 26 Summit Road on Hilton Head Island will be closed Monday, with regular hours resuming at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The notice was presented as a public-service announcement; no changes to emergency or essential services were reported beyond the standard closure.
