Citrus Heights council approves Grocery Outlet alcohol-letter, adopts nonprofit grant allocations and names League delegate

At its Sept. 10 meeting, the council unanimously approved a letter of public convenience for a Grocery Outlet Type 21 alcohol license at 5409 Sunrise Blvd., adopted recommended nonprofit grant allocations (Junior Achievement vote taken with the Vice Mayor recused), approved consent items and appointed a League of California Cities delegate.
The Citrus Heights City Council took several formal actions at its Sept. 10 meeting.
Grocery Outlet alcohol license: Allison Bermudez of the planning division briefed the council on a request for a Type 21 off-sale alcohol license for a new Grocery Outlet at 5409 Sunrise Boulevard (the former Rite Aid location). The application was reviewed under California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control rules for concentrated census tracts and a 1,000-foot vicinity analysis.
