The subcommittee also reported securing sponsorship: Avila’s restaurant will sponsor one box and the Women’s Club will sponsor another.
Subcommittee members and staff discussed production and installation logistics. "We just need the exact dimensions," one member said; staff explained that submissions assumed flat surfaces while actual boxes are often contoured. Committee members discussed requesting manufacturer blueprints and verifying precise box dimensions before printing. The group described the preferred material as a vinyl with an air-release adhesive that accommodates complex box shapes.
Staff and members said they will contact the selected artists to finalize artwork files and arrange for printing and installation. No city budget adoption for the project was recorded in the meeting; Samantha (staff) reiterated that budgeted items discussed in the work plan remain proposals pending council budget action.
