At the Nov. 3 meeting the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors appointed Ashley Spidler to a five‑year term on the Muscatine County Zoning Commission (term expiring 11/07/2030).
The board considered two applicants, discussed experience and continuity, and a supervisor moved to appoint Ashley Spidler; a second was recorded and the board voted in favor. Supervisors thanked outgoing applicant Carol for her service on the board of adjustment.
On personnel matters, board members approved two internal placements in the treasurer’s office, moving two current treasurer’s clerks (grade 8) into senior treasurer’s clerk positions (grade 9), effective Nov. 15. Amy, representing the treasurer’s office, said staffing has stabilized since earlier losses and promotions reward employees who have taken on additional responsibilities. The board also approved acceptance of the October 2025 payroll claims.
All administrative motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
