Code enforcement presented day-of-case 2025-34 for 120 Pearstone Lane in Hurricane, citing excessive debris and refuse and noting repeated inspections and limited compliance; the commission accepted the complaint and voted to file the case.
For day-of-case 2025-10 at 483 Daniel Boone Trail, the property owner submitted documentation showing a contractor had been hired for demolition, asbestos testing and utility disconnection and asked for a compliance-extension to March 31, 2026. The commission chair recused himself because Mayor Scott Edwards was identified as majority owner of the company tied to the property; Commissioner Pearson was appointed acting president and the commission granted the requested extension, noting sanctions would be considered if work was not completed.
The commission approved several purchase orders and reimbursements: dog-fund payments including $986 for spay/neuter services and equipment purchases for the Putnam County Animal Shelter including payments to TriWaves Electric and Charian Equipment Company for washer/dryer installation. From the 9-1-1 fund the commission approved $33,188 for a generator, $44,590.48 for GIS data remediation and $13,334.40 for radio equipment. The commission also approved reimbursements from the Stephen A. and E's Recreation Enhancement Fund to the Putnam County Fair Board ($13,920) and the Town of Bancroft ($20,720.72), hotel/motel tax disbursements to the Convention and Visitors Bureau ($79,000), Parks and Recreation Commission ($54,000) and Recreation Enhancement Fund ($25,000), and a $15,955.04 transfer from the general school fund to the general county fund for jail cost reimbursement.
All motions were approved by voice vote and no additional conditions or reports were recorded at the meeting.
