In votes that punctuated a long meeting, supervisors rejected a request to remove restrictive proffers on a property at Richmond Highway and Cabinfield Road that had prompted community protests about possible data‑center development. The motion to deny that rezoning passed 5‑2. A request to rezone about 29 acres along Callahan Road and Colonial Highway for a subdivision known as Ridgeway Meadows failed by a 4‑3 vote.
