Trustees award new operations building contract to Gambit Construction

The New Caney Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the award of a contract for a new operations building to Gambit Construction following a competitive solicitation.
Mr. Ressler, presenting the item, told the board Gambit was the top-ranked bidder after the district’s competitive process. "I would like to recommend Gambit Construction as a general contractor for our new operations building after going through our competitive steel proposal process, they were our number 1 ranked bidder," he said.
Trustees approved the award by voice vote on a motion by Ms. Sharp and a second by Mr. Alters. The motion carried with no opposition. The board also delegated authority to the superintendent or his designee to negotiate, finalize and execute the construction contract and related documents.
Staff did not present dollar amounts at the public board discussion; the award followed the procurement procedures summarized in the board book materials.
