Council approves $416,620 contract for 2025 traffic-signal repairs; operator licenses, reappointment passed

The Green Bay Common Council on Tuesday approved a Department of Public Works request to award the 2025 traffic-signal repair contract to Beaudart Electric Service Incorporated in the amount of $416,620. The council agreed to include an alternate bid item — conduit to interconnect signals — after a staff recommendation and a motion on the improvement and services report.

Alder Grant proposed the amendment to award the contract including the alternate bid; Alder Prophet seconded. City staff confirmed there is sufficient funding for the base bid plus the alternate. The amendment and the revised award passed with council approval.

In the same meeting the council also approved a reappointment to a city board and a report from the Green Bay Police Department granting operator licenses. One operator-license approval required a corrected signature date; the council conditioned approval on the applicant providing the corrected date and approved the item once the clerk confirmed the correction would be made.
