Bonadio auditors presented the results of the district’s external audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, and the board voted to accept the report and a corrective-action plan at the Sept. 20 meeting.
Alan from Bonadio told trustees the audit would be issued with an unmodified opinion — the highest level of assurance — and that auditors did not identify material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in internal control and found no instances of reportable noncompliance.
He highlighted several financial figures from the audit: the general fund ended the year with a total fund balance of about $30,800,000 and an unassigned fund balance of approximately $5,300,000; the capital projects fund had a balance of about $7,600,000 and the school lunch fund about $754,000. The auditor said the general fund’s fund balance grew by approximately $3,000,008.22 for the year.
After the presentation the board moved to accept the external audit report and later accept the corrective action plan; both motions passed unanimously (votes recorded as 7-0). Trustees thanked the business office staff for their work in completing the audit.
What's next: the accepted audit will be filed as part of the district’s financial records and the corrective-action plan will guide any administrative follow-up identified during the audit.
