Summary
Madison County planning commissioners voted to recommend approval of a 5-acre split from a 63.91-acre parcel at 3802 Highway 174 so an applicant can create a home site; one nearby resident asked about driveway placement and the commission recorded a recommendation to forward the matter to the Board of Commissioners Feb. 2.
Madison County commissioners recommended that a 5-acre portion of a 63.91-acre parcel be rezoned to allow a home site for the applicant’s family.
Haley Carey said she requested the 5-acre split for a home site on property at 3802 Highway 174 in Danielsville (Map 49, Parcel 22, District 4). A nearby resident, Pamela, asked where the house and driveway would be located; staff indicated the proposed driveway would come off before Highway 74 and that the parcel boundaries as presented answered the resident’s questions.
No speakers opposed the request during the public hearing. Commissioners moved and voted to recommend approval; the recommendation will be presented to the Board of Commissioners on Feb. 2 for final action.
The commission recorded its recommendation as approved by the members present and noted that the remaining acreage will remain in its current zone.
