Council backs project-management dashboard and asks staff to demonstrate OpenGov capability

After repeated frustration about not knowing project status, Cheyenne councilmembers coalesced behind a single operational goal: adopt or operationalize a project-management tool that provides an internal dashboard for council use and a public-facing summary for constituents.
Speakers described how a dashboard would show project timelines, tasks, assigned staff, and progress markers so the council can understand where projects are delayed and why. Examples raised in the discussion included Trello, ClickUp, LiquidPlanner and OpenGov's project module; staff reported parts of OpenGov are already in use in finance, building and purchasing modules and that additional configuration and historical data migration remain.
The council directed a small group (Kathy, Michelle, Jeff and Larry, named by several members) and staff to schedule a demonstration of the current OpenGov setup and to identify whether an existing module can meet needs or whether a low-cost pilot (for example Trello) could be started quickly. Speaker 10 offered to set up a shared screen demo to walk councillors through capabilities.
No purchase decision was made; the immediate direction was to demonstrate current tools, outline gaps, and present options and costs so council can either adopt what exists or pilot an inexpensive solution.
