The county attorney told the board the property was deeded to Caswell County and that restrictive covenants and earlier documents identify the area as Pelham Industrial Park, but recommended a "doing business as" approach if the board wished to change public branding without altering deed titles.
Commissioners expressed mixed reactions: several supported the marketing rationale while others raised concerns about local identity and future naming for other parks. The board did not vote on a final change and asked staff to return with more information at the first February meeting.
