Frederick Town approves NISP interim agreement participation; staff cites permits and litigation

Staff said Northern Water is supporting the town and other participants in legal action against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers related to permit decisions. An official project schedule cited preliminary wet water availability from Glade Reservoir as around 2032, and staff emphasized that substantial design, property acquisition and easement work remain.
Board members discussed the presentation and then approved the recommendation to adopt the interim agreement (vote 5–0). Staff said the most recent budget estimate for the town's share was within the budgeted amount for the year.
The board did not alter the town’s participation level at this meeting; staff will return with subsequent updates as permits and legal actions progress.
