County approves Eventide Nexlog purchase to replace legacy 911 recorder

Communications Director Jeff Ridgeway said the county had used a NICE brand recorder since at least 2008 and replaced it after a 2021 water incident. He recommended an Eventide Nexlog 740DX solution with screen-recording capability so staff can troubleshoot 911 workstation issues. Ridgeway said the installation, training and project management are estimated at $59,309.47 and that the purchase fits fund 1616's capital project budget.
Ridgeway also outlined potential future features, including an AI-assisted quality-assurance tool to automate call-review processes. Commissioners moved and approved PO 79 85 to purchase the Eventide system.
