Ellis County awards asphalt-mixing PO to APAC for roughly 10,000 tons of mix

McDaniel recommended APAC as the lowest responsible bidder to mix approximately 10,000 tons of asphalt/coating mix to support the county’s overlay program, which he described as part of a 12-mile-per-year plan combining overlays and additional treatments. He explained that certain roads required reconstructing the base with recycled millings and aggregate before final asphalt overlay.
A commissioner moved to approve PO 79 80 authorizing APAC to provide the asphalt mixing; another commissioner seconded the motion and the commission approved it on a voice vote.
