At the start of the session, the advisory committee opened nominations for officers. A member nominated "Tory" as vice chair; the nomination was seconded and approved by acclamation. Following additional nominations for chair, the presiding member closed nominations and declared themselves chair by acclamation. The committee then approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
City staff provided routine downtown project updates. Staff said the permit for 430 Main Street is ready to issue and is completing system development charge steps; 325 Main is in site review; 811 Main's permit is issued and construction is underway; and 791 Main remains in an exclusive negotiation agreement process with Tekola Properties. A member asked whether cast-iron pillars uncovered at 811 Main could be fully restored; staff said a significant restoration is planned and will follow up with details.
With no further business, the chair adjourned the meeting. Staff will return with a final grant packet and additional materials next month for the committee's recommendation to the agency.
