Board fills budget committee vacancy, adopts minimum fund-balance policy changes

The draft policy sets a minimum fund balance of 10% of total adopted resources and requires the superintendent or designee to report to the board when the fund balance is expected to drop below 8% (presentation at SEG 1749-1776). Director McVeigh moved approval of the policy language; after brief discussion emphasizing long-term stewardship and protecting class sizes, the motion passed 7-0.
