The committee approved the FY2027 calendar and authorized overnight field trips, including a Nantucket High School trip to the Southeast District Music Festival in New Bedford and a CPS overnight trip to Boston (Jan. 16'17, 2026). The committee also accepted multiple donations to support music-department field trips and student activity accounts: Bessie Construction ($200), 30 Acre Wood LLC ($500), Southarm Campground ($3,000), Stop and Shop ($29 to CPS and $250 to NIS), Nantucket Education Trust ($15,000 to the Nantucket Community School financial assistance fund), Cape Cod 5 educational mini-grant ($300 to CPS), Mac Davis Flooring ($200), and Nantucket Book Partners ($300) as listed on the agenda.
The committee approved meeting minutes for Nov. 6, Nov. 17 and Dec. 8, 2025, and approved transfers and invoices; the motion on transfers drew one brief objection but passed on voice vote. All motions on the agenda were approved as called.
