The Appleton Board of Trustees approved a set of routine financial and governance items and two annual agreements with the Outagamie Waupaca Library System (OWLS) at its Aug. 19 meeting.
The board voted to approve the July 2025 bill register, adopt a budget amendment for August 2025 and accept a $20,000 grant from Microsoft TechSpark. The grant funding enables the library to create a limited-term, part-time “library assistant — technology, learning and innovation” position contingent on continued grant funding; trustees approved the grant acceptance and the position.
Trustees also approved the 2026 Resource Library Agreement and the 2026 Service Agreement with OWLS. Both agreements were described by staff as time-frame updates with no substantive changes to the content of the agreements.
