Beaverton board creates ad hoc committee to lead superintendent search

The motion to form the subcommittee was moved and seconded and passed with all seven board members voting yes. Chair Gar said, following tradition, the committee membership will include herself and Director Justice, with Dr. Truong agreeing to serve as the third member. Dr. Truong accepted the appointment at the meeting.
Board members asked whether the committee would provide updates and how frequently; staff replied that the committee would provide information at each step once formed. No vote on hiring parameters or a consultant occurred at the meeting; those steps will follow solicitation and review by the appointed committee.
