The Liberty County Commissioners Court on Tuesday approved a series of routine and contract items ranging from veteran-services grant renewal to ARPA-funded sewer payments and election equipment purchases, and postponed several subdivision items linked to the Sterling Traditions preliminary plat.
Court members unanimously approved the consent agenda and an add-on payroll reimbursement of $11,724.83 for a district attorney’s employee. The court also approved a renewal of a Texas Veterans Commission grant for $50,000 for fiscal year 2025–26 to support county veteran services.
Other approvals included: acceptance of a donated trailer-mounted generator from CenterPoint Energy for emergency management; reappointment of Gail Page to the Tri-County Behavioral Health Care board; approval of a $154,019 reimbursement under an existing tax increment reinvestment zone (TIRZ) agreement (see separate article); and multiple ARPA-funded sanitation contracts and invoices for the City of Hardin sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
