Spring Hill board approves budget, tax rate and multiple resolutions in 7-0 vote

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of Spring Hill on Monday voted unanimously on a package of budget, tax and administrative measures, including final approval of the city’s tax rate and its fiscal year 2025–26 budget.
On second and final reading the board approved Ordinance 25-12 adopting tax rates for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 (vote recorded as 7–0). The board likewise approved Ordinance 25-13 on second and final reading, adopting the annual budget and tax rate for fiscal 2025–26 after the board approved an amendment to add $60,000 to support the Spring Hill Welcome Center operated in partnership with the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce (amendment and ordinance passed 7–0).
The board also approved changes to the Unified Development Code by second and final reading of Ordinance 25-14 (7–0); authorized on-call professional plan review services by approving Resolution 25-140 as amended (7–0); and approved a series of other consent and regular-agenda items, including a memorandum of understanding with Columbia State Community College for an internal EMT program…
