The committee also moved Senate bill 7,700 by Senator Mayer, described in committee as amending the election law "in relation to the designation and nomination of candidates for village office and village elections conducted on the day of the general election," to first reading after a motion and second. Separately, Senate bill 79 62 (read in transcript as "79 62") to amend the election law on candidate declaration timing was moved and reported; committee discussion noted the bill would change a deadline from 10 days after the election to seven days after certification.
Committee chair Senator Christine Gonzalez closed the session after completing the agenda.
