The Clearfield County Commissioners voted to approve a lease agreement with WWA Holdings LLC for the Clearfield Magistrate Office, contingent on the county solicitor confirming the correct effective date.
Solicitor Bozovich told commissioners the office changed ownership in the fall and that the county's prior lease — which was assigned to the purchaser, WWA Holdings — expired in April. ‘‘We do have a tentative arrangement,’’ Bozovich said, noting a remaining open item was the effective date because of recent timing and last-minute changes. He described the tentative deal as keeping the rental payment the same, providing one-year lease terms renewable for three years and including a six-month termination clause for either party.
A motion to approve the lease ‘‘pending solicitor approval’’ of the effective date passed on a voiced aye vote.
The lease approval preserves the magistrate office's occupied space while the solicitor confirms contract timing. County staff did not provide a revised effective date on the public record; the solicitor was asked to finalize that detail before executing the lease.
