Board approves minutes, consent agenda and Richardson Park pickleball courts

Richardson Park pickleball courts (11A): Director Brady described a park-district proposal for four new pickleball courts at Richardson Park (1950 Wesley West Lee Drive). Brady said the project includes fencing, shade structures, benches, picnic tables, landscaping and acoustical panels on the east and south sides to mitigate noise; no lighting is proposed. He said the applicant submitted a parking study that concluded existing parking can accommodate the courts and a sound study that showed no excessive noise to adjacent residences. Trustee Cooper said she had visited the site and expressed concern about possible parking spillover; Brady said on-street parking along Westlake would absorb occasional overflow. Trustee Dorn moved to approve 11A with a second from Trustee Sodoti; the board voted by voice and the motion carried.
No public comments were offered on the items listed, and the board adjourned following the votes.
