Residents press Glenview trustees for sustainability accountability, buckthorn removal and composting support

Speakers requested clearer public access to the budget binder; staff said the binder had been posted that morning and encouraged residents to review it and return with questions. Trustees responded that the sustainability plan will be delivered, and that staff must prioritize recommendations based on funding and feasibility.
The board acknowledged the advocacy and asked staff to report back with specific program and budget details as the sustainability plan moves toward board review in early 2026.
