Kasia Sherlock, speaking for Moms of Glenview, asked the board Nov. 4 to install sidewalks and lighting on Harrison Avenue to improve pedestrian safety for young families and older residents. Sherlock said neighbors collected about 30 signatures in favor of the work and asked the village to consider the petition as traffic and pedestrian patterns change in that neighborhood.
President Jenny told Sherlock that the village’s traffic committee is reviewing the request and staff would report back to the group as soon as they can. The board did not take formal action at the meeting but acknowledged receipt of the petition and the traffic committee review.
