Historic Preservation Board: CLG compliance noted, design-review meetings canceled, remote attendance ending

At its meeting, Castle Rock Historic Preservation Board staff reported that the board's Certified Local Government (CLG) materials were submitted to History Colorado and that the review found the board in compliance.
Staff also reported there were no design-review-board meetings in November and that the design-review meetings scheduled for December had already been canceled. In addition, staff relayed a town-council decision to discontinue a remote attendance option for board members; going forward members who cannot attend in person are asked to email staff to explain their absence.
Board members discussed budget timing for the local restoration grant (budget season begins in May) and asked staff to include consideration of alternate uses for the Philip S. Miller trust fund (for example, historic artwork or murals downtown) in future work planning. The board confirmed calendars for upcoming meetings in January and February and adjourned at 06:36.
