Board elects leadership, moves to adjourn; commissioners appoint advisory-committee members
Summary
At the start of the meeting commissioners conducted internal elections for chair and vice chair (motions and voice votes recorded) and later appointed Rachel Brower and June Childers to the Moore County Nursing and Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee for three-year terms (Dec. 2025–Dec. 2028).
At the Dec. 1 meeting the Board of Commissioners elected a new chair and vice chair as part of the organizational session. Nominations were made from the dais, motions were seconded and the chair election passed on a recorded voice/roll-call vote (4-0 recorded). The board also elected a vice chairman by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the commissioners appointed two members to the Moore County Nursing and Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee: Rachel Brower and June Childers were each approved for three-year terms expiring December 2028. Motions to appoint both nominees were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board completed routine reports, closed the meeting and the chairman called for adjournment.
