Farmers market alcohol ordinance: Assistant Manager Roth presented a proposed code amendment (to be codified at section 112.05) allowing market vendors with valid Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) permits to sell closed containers of malt beverages and wine at the Moore County Farmers Market site under five specific conditions: display of valid ABC permits, allowed product types limited to malt beverages and wine (no distilled spirits), prohibition on on‑site consumption (tastings generally not permitted though very small sample bottles may be), required signage informing customers that consumption on the market site is prohibited, and the change applies only to the established market operator that holds an operating agreement with the town (the Moore County Farmers Market). The council passed Ordinance No. 3108 by voice vote.
