Bluff, Utah — The Bluff Town Council reviewed a draft ordinance on renewable energy during its Dec. 9 work session and asked staff to tidy formatting and remove duplicated language before taking the item to the public meeting.
Council member Speaker 2 said staff made formatting changes to meet ADA requirements and to align the ordinance’s numbering with recently passed local codes. Speaker 2 flagged duplicate decommissioning requirements on page 6 and recommended replacing repeated text with a direct reference to section 8.01 0.06 so readers do not have to search across the document.
Speaker 1 said the ordinance otherwise looked ready for the meeting packet, and the group agreed that Speaker 2’s proposed edit on the decommissioning text would avoid redundancy. Speaker 2 also said they would add brief ADA descriptions for two charts the ordinance includes so screen readers can present the information more clearly.
Council members did not take a formal vote on the ordinance at the work session; staff will incorporate the editorial and ADA changes and present the cleaned document at the next public meeting.
